Meet The Team
As the Founder and Principle Consultant, Iain is an industry veteran of almost thirty years and has a proven track record across many areas of our industry having worked in senior management positions, before founding KCMG.
Having begun his career with South African operator Sun International in 1992, he has subsequently worked across Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, gaining experience not only as an operator but also a supplier and has. held roles in operations, sales, business development and product management with multi-national companies such as Sun International, Casino Magic, Playtech, Zitro and Aristocrat.
In addition to his deep understanding of the gaming industry’s trends and technologies, Iain’s multi-disciplinary expertise across the marketing mix, sales and business development enables him to drive strategic initiatives globally, whilst his experience positions him uniquely to meet the challenges inherent in competing successfully at a global level.
Andrew hails from the pharmaceutical industry and has held numerous senior brand and marketing management positions over the years. Upon leaving his position as Marketing Director at IMS Health, Andrew set up The Cape Marketing & Consulting Company in 2008 and has been consulting across various business sectors ever since.
Andrew’s main focus as a Consultant is on marketing and strategy, helping clients maximise the opportunities presented by each stage in the product lifecycle and is a leader is brand strategy development. In addition, Andrew is a highly experienced trainer and lecturer, having successfully delivered training courses on marketing fundamentals, launch excellence and strategic marketing to delegates from across Europe, the USA, Australia and the Middle East.
In addition to Bachelor’s and Honours degrees in Industrial Psychology and Business Management, Andrew holds an MBA degree from the University of Durham and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Adv. Herman Kruger
Herman is a lawyer by trade and serves as Legal Counsel to various gaming companies worldwide.
Admitted to practice as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, Herman has been specialising in gambling law and legislation for more than 25 years. Acknowledged as an expert in the drafting of legislation, he was involved in the drafting of most of the South African gambling legislation, including laws, regulations and rules. He was also involved in the drafting of the SABS technical standards for hardware and software for gambling equipment.
Herman also has many years of experience as a Regulator and joined the Mpumalanga Gambling Board, as the first staff member in 1995. Over the years he consulted for various local and foreign Gambling Boards and apart from drafting legislation, also assisted in the drafting of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) for casino developments and other licenses.
He also assisted various foreign gaming jurisdictions with the drafting of gambling legislation and other related legal and compliance matters. He had the opportunity to visit most of the major gaming jurisdictions in the world and attended various international courses in gambling law and compliance, such as the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
Advocate Kruger was also involved in the formation of various gaming associations in South Africa in his capacity as a Legal Advisor and Consultant.
Jake has been in gaming for over thirty years, having left the Royal Air Force to take up a position with Sun International. Since then, his experience has grown exponentially as his abundant energy and outstanding organising skills have seen him involved in not only the running of gaming operations but also the planning and project managing of casino developments all over Latin America, Europe, UK, Asia and Africa.
Jake’s focus is on operational consulting, such as, new casino development; project management and management contracts where his ongoing commitment to the development of best-practice systems and procedures and the professional development of staff through leadership, coaching and training has seen him most recently open the premier casino resort in the Seychelles, Club Liberté Casino.
Vanessa is a highly experienced human resources manager and executive coach whose main areas of expertise are organisational transformation, talent management, leadership development and executive coaching.
She is an internationally accredited coach, career counsellor and 360-degree facilitator, as well as being an accredited practitioner in multiple psychometric tools, such as Myers-Briggs, FIRO B and Organisational Culture Inventory.
In addition to a diploma in business management, Vanessa also holds an MBA degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
